What You Can Expect
I approach sexual health concerns in a holistic, person-centered, and trauma-informed way. A holistic approach includes addressing the biological, social, sexual, spiritual, and psychological makeup of a person. As a student of Queer Theory, Intersectionality, anti-racism, anti-oppression, social justice, and disability justice, these frameworks are integrated in my therapeutic approach.
My style is direct yet compassionate, humanistic yet client-centered, resource-oriented yet explorative. Humor is also invited! In our work together, we will gently and intentionally delve into intergenerational trauma, isomorphic processes of stuckness, and the systems surrounding that impact our experience in our world. Inviting your agency is key to our therapeutic work. You are the expert of your life and my role is to move with you in this journey.
At this time, I am offering therapy in the form of Marathon Therapy/Intensives. Please reach out to me via the contact me page or directly: mia@pnwsextherapycollective.com
