Mia Fine

(they/she) PhD, LMFT-S, CST-S, CSE, EMDR Certified

I am a holistic and intersectional therapist who approaches sexual concerns in a person-centered, anti-oppressive, non-judgmental, and trauma-informed way. I practice and am committed to cultural humility and believe you are the expert of your life. By attending to your bio-psycho-social-sexual self and holding space for each person’s various identities, we navigate your therapeutic work together.

What You Can Expect

I approach sexual health concerns in a holistic, person-centered, and trauma-informed way. A holistic approach includes addressing the biological, social, sexual, spiritual, and psychological makeup of a person. As a student of Queer Theory, Intersectionality, anti-racism, anti-oppression, social justice, and disability justice, these frameworks are integrated in my therapeutic approach.

My style is direct yet compassionate, humanistic yet client-centered, resource-oriented yet explorative. Humor is also invited! In our work together, we will gently and intentionally delve into intergenerational trauma, isomorphic processes of stuckness, and the systems surrounding that impact our experience in our world. Inviting your agency is key to our therapeutic work. You are the expert of your life and my role is to move with you in this journey.

At this time, I am offering therapy in the form of Marathon Therapy/Intensives. Please reach out to me via the contact me page or directly: mia@pnwsextherapycollective.com

My Story

As a Queer person with my own unique healing story, working with folks exploring gender, sexuality, and relationship orientations is a joy of mine. I believe our learning is never complete and healing is not linear. I deeply love my career and the passion I have for this work will shine in our sessions. Welcome!

You can find me practicing self-care by spending time adventuring with my family, pets, and communities. I’m an avid hiker, paddle boarder, scuba diver, and mountaineer. A lover of books, I regularly juggle 3-5 authors at a time. Community is an essential part of my world. Attending friends’ and community events, volunteering for organizations I love, and showing up for causes I believe in are all ways I enjoy spending my time.
