Alyce Davie
My approach to therapy is conversational, warm, humorous, and direct. I aim to create a space that feels purposeful and flexible. Sometimes my role is to guide and provide structure, other times it’s to listen and follow your lead. I see therapy as a collaborative process where we are all contributing to healing and change. I also draw from my background as an artist and educator to support an adaptable and creative therapy environment.
I work with individuals and relationships. I support clients struggling to feel heard, navigating life changes, experiencing unresolved hurt or betrayal, or feeling emotionally or sexually disconnected. I also enjoy working with neurodivergent clients and clients struggling with parenting or family concerns. I integrate Emotionally-Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy and Solution-Focused Therapy, depending on your needs and goals. My hope is that you leave therapy feeling understood, more connected to yourself and others, and better equipped to navigate future challenges.
Building trust within the therapeutic relationship is central to my work and creates a strong foundation for the therapy process. I provide identity-affirming care and believe that our histories and lived experiences play a significant role in our work. Together, we will identify patterns and explore them within the broader context of family, community, culture, and societal systems. I will support you in processing emotions, deepening understanding, and moving toward the changes you want to make.
