Offers In-person and Telehealth Sessions in Washington

Life can be challenging and chaotic. It can be hard to see past the struggles that come up in your life and
in your relationships. You are not alone if you are feeling hopeless and unable to see how to make things
better. I believe everyone has the capacity to heal and overcome challenges. Whether it is through
individual work or within intimate relationships, we can work together to find a way for you to thrive in
your life.

My approach to therapy is personalized and varies according to your needs. As a systemic therapist, I
view you within the larger context of your family, community, culture, and society. I strive to create a
safe and trusting environment characterized by non-judgment, empathy, and acceptance. I believe that
you are the expert on your own life and that you can create change and overcome struggles through
sharing and collaboration. I am here to support you and empower you to explore and to move closer to
the life you desire.

As an Asian immigrant to the US, I understand how culture and minority experience can impact our
mental health. My approach is informed by the multicultural and social justice lens. I draw from multiple
postmodern systemic theories, such as Narrative and Solution-focused therapy, as well as the Gottman
method, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and various other sex therapy methods.
I am fluent in Korean and conversant in Spanish. 한국어로 대화하실 수 있습니다.

I am a Marriage and Family Therapist Associate in the state of Washington (MG.61594682). I received an
MA in Couple and Family, as well as a certificate in Sex Therapy Certification from Antioch University
Seattle. In addition, I have training in the Gottman Method and Geek Therapy®. My prior education
includes a PhD in Biomedical Health Informatics, an MS in Computer Science, and a BS in Biology. I have
experience working as a secondary school as well as managing a team in healthcare analytics.
I am a member of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (AAMFT), the
Washington Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (WAMFT) – elected board member at large,
and American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors and Therapists (ASSECT).
